Hi!

I'm Whitney. Welcome to my little slice of the Internet, where I talk about life in Seattle and our travels beyond it. I have a handsome husbro I may have met outside of a bar, two crazy felines, and two kiddos, too. It’s a lot, so I’m not always spending as much time here as I’d like. Do you like reality TV, sampling all the products, and pickled veggies? Same!

I'm so glad  you're here.

A short note on blog graphics: If you pay attention to these things, I’ve been messing with fonts and format and am finally done futzing for now. I like consistent looks and feels, but might not take the time to redo all former images. This will likely be the look going forward, so please excuse any inconsistencies.

I first learned about Sweet Pea and Boy when I was actively stalking Edmonds as a town I thought I might want to live in. A little boy at the park was wearing the coolest trucker hat, and I loved my hats for ODP, so I asked his mom where she got it. “From the lady at the Saturday market,” she told me, as if I lived nearby. I nodded like I knew.

The next Saturday, we went to the market and met Sweet Pea and Boy. They didn’t come to the market this year, which was a huge bummer for me, but they seem to live in Tacoma, so I get it. I missed them, though, so for Christmas, I ordered two more truckers for ODP, along with a solar system t-shirt that has become his favorite closet item. It might go without saying that his wardrobe is…impressive. And substantial.

Sweet Pea and Boy has the COOLEST retro PNW gear for kids to adults. I have two sweatshirts from them myself and can’t resist the old school King Dome and Sonics swag for the bebes. If you check them out, please do let me know because I’d love to see what you get!
