Brand Next Door: It's Baker Made

There are so many fabulous makers in the world and when I find one I like close to home—from my hometown, no less!—I have to share them with the world.

Brittany and Lucas run the small shop It’s Baker Made, which sells the coolest little onesies, cake toppers, name signs, and various wood workings from Olympia, WA, where I spent my favorite years until college. The details on their wood-workings, especially, are so delicate and impressive that I can’t help but turn them around in my hand and admire them until I realize I’ve been admiring them longer than I probably should.

I met Lucas through a local Facebook group that supports Seattle-area bloggers and while I don’t consider myself much of an influencer, I was eager to volunteer to talk about Brittany’s shop because they live in the place that I love so much and they take such care in what they create. Especially since I’ve become a mom, highlighting small shops has been a true passion of mine. Take a closer look at their stuff on their Instagram page here—they’ll keep you in the know about what they’re working on.

I kept my eye on their shop and ordered a few items for the babies’ birthday a few weeks ago: a rainbow cake topper that ended up going perfectly with the sprinkles ODP picked for his “brown cake,” a sweet name sign for Baby B that I plan to stick to her bedroom door (that also would have been great to have in my hospital bag had the shop existed then), and my favorite item—a gorgeous wooden comb that Brittany threw in as a gift, which has become one of the few hair devices to properly tame ODP’s beautiful flowing mane without much complaint from him. Anyone else have a toddler who gripes about all things hair-related? Baby B is already giving me a hard time with her Pebbles ponies and I’m nervous I’ll have two babies who make hair maintenance challenging on their tired mommy. What they don’t know yet, though, is no amount of complaining from them will stop me. They’re still new. They’ll learn.

It’s Baker Made is always adding truly one-of-a-kind pieces to their shop. Here are a few other things I’m planning to add to my cart:

I also love the truly cool coincidence that they just added a little baby Bianca to their growing family a few weeks ago and are churning out orders like nobody’s business. If that’s not super human work ethic, I don’t know what is. Brittany and Lucas gave me a code for you to shop for 20% off—just add LITTLEONE in the coupon code box at checkout. Birthdays, baby showers, random thoughtful gifts—this shop has exactly what you need, no matter the occasion.

Hope you love this small shop as much as I do, and make sure to leave them a review when you get your items!
